But, in between sets, I hide away in the dressing room and complete crossword puzzles in a book that I bring from home! I think most people figure that I must be back there doing naughty, scandalous things- wouldn’t they be shocked to know the truth!
Fun fact: personal trainer by day (hey, a girls’ gotta eat and buy new thongs and lipstick!!), go-go dance, dancer, and singer by night!
To me, the Stonewall means family. Generation after generation of love. Fun, laughter, and PRIDE above all. Because of Stonewall, I have had opportunities that I could never have imagined! Because of Stonewall, I have learned that Tito’s vodka makes me smile and that 1800 tequila makes me hungry! And, because of Stonewall. I have met incredible people with incredible stories from around the world- all wanting a glimpse of the place that I call home!
Oh, and for those of you wondering about how exactly I scored this Stonewall gig?? I live my life unapologetically and impulsively- and, sometimes has its perks! My shamelessness got me my weekly gig at the Stonewall when I decided that everyone in the bar should STOP what they were doing and WATCH my drunk self dance to every step to “Bad Romance” under the bright lights of the stage (if you were there- thanks!
